About Melanie

Hello, my name is Melanie, I am an integrated therapist, which means that I have a range of tools to help you explore your feelings and find a way through your issues without any judgement.

Before training as a counsellor, I worked within the NHS in cancer services. Since then, I have been employed by a charity that supports people affected by serious illness, those who have received a diagnosis, those who are caring for someone, and those who have been bereaved.

This work offers people a compassionate space to talk openly, whether they want to share their experiences of illness, express their grief, or speak to someone outside their immediate circle. It provides time to explore their feelings, adjust to change, and navigate the emotional and practical impact that illness can bring.

I have also supported clients experiencing depression, health related difficulties, menopause, low self esteem, stress, relationship issues, loss and bereavement, including anticipatory loss.

Walk and talk therapy combines the benefits of counselling with the calming, ground effect of being outdoors. Many people find that walking side by side makes it easier to open up, reduces the intensity of difficult topics, and supports a more relaxed, natural flow of conversation.

On line therapy offers the flexibility to access support from the comfort of your own home, making it easier to fit sessions into your routine. It removes the need to travel, provides greater accessibility for those with mobility or health challenges, and often helps people feel more relaxed and open in a familiar environment.
